MRHA Webinar: HIV Stigma
HIV-related stigma and discrimination continue to create barriers to healthcare and can have a significant impact on the health and well-being of people vulnerable to or living with HIV. Understanding how stigma develops, how it affects patients, and how healthcare professionals can address it is an important part of creating more inclusive and effective care environments.
This interactive session will explore the impact of HIV stigma and discrimination in healthcare settings while addressing common misconceptions about HIV transmission and risk. Participants will review evidence-based HIV prevention and treatment basics and learn practical ways to recognize and combat HIV-related stigma in their practice settings.
