Webinar: Legislative Update

When:  Apr 25, 2025 from 12:00 to 13:00 (CT)

Stay informed on the latest developments in the 2025 Missouri Legislative Session with this exclusive MRHA webinar series. Hosted by Heidi Lucas, Executive Director of the Missouri Rural Health Association, these regular sessions will provide key advocacy updates and insights on legislation impacting rural health.

Joining us will be Mandy Hagseth the Director of Policy & Advocacy at Missouri Family Health Council (MFHC) to discuss the bi-partisan Women’s Health Bill making its way through the Missouri Legislature. Mandy will also discuss how MFHC is also among multiple grantees to have Title X (ten) funding withheld by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Title X supports 52 clinic sites across Missouri in providing high quality sexual and reproductive health care: including county health departments, community action agencies, rural hospitals, and FQHCs.  Withholding these critical funds will put access to affordable contraception, cancer screenings, STI testing and treatment, and other preventive care at risk for tens of thousands of Missourians, particularly those in rural Missouri. MFHC will being our discussion on Friday followed by our update on other pressing legislation here in Missouri.

This series is designed to keep MRHA members engaged and equipped to advocate for rural health priorities throughout the legislative session.
