Onboarding Strategies that Strengthen Compliance and Safety in Rural Facilities

When:  Oct 8, 2026 from 12:00 to 13:00 (CT)

Rural healthcare organizations often rely on small, cross-functional teams where staff assume multiple roles while still meeting the same regulatory and accreditation standards as larger systems. In this environment, effective onboarding is essential to maintaining compliance, safety, and operational stability—especially during periods of turnover.

This session will explore how rural facilities can strengthen onboarding to support compliance and patient safety from day one. Presenters will share practical strategies for embedding key requirements—such as infection control, medication safety, staff safety, and emergency preparedness—into a streamlined onboarding process that works in resource-limited settings. Drawing on experience in accreditation and rural health leadership through QUAD A and AdventHealth Manchester, the session will highlight scalable approaches that improve readiness and reduce risk.

Attendees will leave with a practical, adaptable onboarding framework designed for small teams, along with strategies to better connect daily workflows to compliance and patient safety outcomes.
