Access to medications is a critical component of improving community health outcomes yet many uninsured or underinsured Missourians still face barriers to obtaining essential prescriptions and pharmacy services. This session will explore the development of a charitable pharmacy model in Missouri and demonstrate how healthcare providers can collaborate to meet these unmet needs.
Participants will gain insight into available resources for accessing prescription and non-prescription medications and medical supplies for uninsured patients. The session will also cover funding strategies, partnership opportunities, and practical steps for launching a charitable pharmacy. Attendees will leave equipped with an action plan to enhance medication access in their own communities.
